Biomedical Engineering Center was established in 1998. It is located in Šiauliai University, Faculty of Technology. Researchers of the center study variety of fields on Human-Computer Interaction, participate in international projects. Results of the research are published in Lithuanian and foreign scientific journals, also presented in international and local conferences.
Main field of interest of Biomedical Engineering Center are eye movements. Šiauliai University carried out this type of research for already couple decades. Center is equipped by state-of-the-art eyegaze tracking device, scientist have a lot of experience regarding human oculomotor system studies.
Fields of research:
- Human oculomotor system
- Cursor control using eyegaze
- Design, testing and adjustment of computer communication systems for the disabled
- Spectral properties of Lithuanian language
